Payment

We require a deposit of 50% of the total order value to be paid prior to commencement of manufacture the full balance to be paid within 3 days of delivery of all items on the original order.

Site conditions

The timber used in our manufacture is suitable for use in normal interior conditions, however, please note that small amounts of expansion and contraction are normal in any timber and can occur whenever the environment changes, including normal seasonal variations. It is important that when our joinery is delivered that the site conditions are suitable and all material is stored correctly.
All wet trades should have been completed and dried out
The building should be dry and heated to normal operating temperature (15 to 25 degrees C)
All material should be left to acclimatise in the room conditions in which it is to be installed for a period of 14 days.
All joinery must be stored flat laid on battens to allow even circulation of air. Joinery should not be stored in direct sunlight as this can cause uneven colour change.
Traditional woodworks accepts no liability for any damage or deterioration caused to our products which may be caused if they are stored in unsuitable conditions or in incorrect manner.

Installation

Solid oak doors are extremely heavy and should only be installed by an experienced tradesperson.

Finishing

All finishes should be applied strictly in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

Delivery

We deliver joinery with orders above £1000.00 free only within a radius of 50 miles from Hitchin, Hertfordshire. Delivery can be arranged outside this area at extra cost. Also please note delivery of small non joinery items ordered separately will be charged at cost.
